Figma v26 ships the long-awaited Dev Mode 2.0, which fundamentally changes how developers interact with design handoffs. Variable Collections are now shareable across files within an organisation plan, meaning your design token library lives in one file and automatically propagates to every component library and prototype that references it. Developers in Dev Mode can now inspect the token name, value, and theme variant at every layer. Spec views now include responsive layout annotations — when a designer configures auto-layout rules, those constraints appear as readable CSS-like properties in the inspect panel. Code Snippets can be customised per team to match your component library\'s API. Figma v26 is a browser-based release and rolls out automatically to all plans.
