Son of Senior Hamas Leader Khalil al-Hayya Killed in Israeli Strike on Gaza City
Azzam al-Hayya, son of prominent Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City, marking the latest loss for a family that has seen multiple members killed since 2008.
غزہ شہر پر قابض اسرائیلی فوج کے ایک تازہ فضائی حملے میں حماس کے مرکزی رہنما خلیل الحیہ کے صاحبزادے، عزام الحیہ جامِ شہادت نوش کر گئے ہیں۔
حماس کے سینئر عہدیدار باسم نعیم نے اس افسوسناک خبر کی تصدیق کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ عزام الحیہ براہِ راست اسرائیلی جارحیت کی زد میں آئے۔
عرب ذرائع ابلاغ کے مطابق، خلیل الحیہ کا خاندان طویل عرصے سے قربانیوں کی تاریخ رقم کر رہا ہے۔ گزشتہ برس بھی دوحہ میں حماس کی قیادت کو نشانہ بنانے کی کوشش میں ان کا ایک بیٹا شہید ہوا تھا۔
واضح رہے کہ یہ پہلا موقع نہیں ہے، اس سے قبل سال 2008 اور 2014 میں بھی غزہ پر مسلط کی گئی اسرائیلی جنگوں کے دوران خلیل الحیہ کے دو اور بیٹے اپنی جانیں قربان کر چکے ہیں۔
English Translation
Azzam al-Hayya, the son of senior Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya, has been killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting Gaza City.
Hamas official Basem Naim confirmed the incident, stating that Azzam al-Hayya fell victim to the ongoing Israeli aggression in the region.
According to Arab media reports, Khalil al-Hayya has a long history of personal sacrifices. Last year, another one of his sons was martyred during an Israeli attack targeting Hamas leadership in Doha.
This is not the first time the family has faced such losses; two other sons of Khalil al-Hayya were previously killed during the Israeli military offensives on Gaza in 2008 and 2014.
