English Translation
The Pakistan Stock Exchange started the trading session on a positive note, with the benchmark index rising by more than 1,000 points and successfully crossing the 171,000 level.
However, the early gains could not sustain as profit-taking by investors created pressure in the market, leading to fluctuations and a loss of momentum.
During the session, negative news regarding a potential deal between Iran and the United States further weakened investor confidence, pushing the market out of the positive zone and triggering a selling trend.
By the end of the session, the index had dropped by 1,100 points to close at 169,406, while significant selling pressure was observed in banking, automobile, cement, and energy sector stocks.
