Demand Raised to Restore CNG Stations in Karachi and Sindh
The All Pakistan CNG Association has demanded the immediate restoration of CNG stations in Karachi and Sindh before Eid-ul-Adha to provide relief to citizens and workers.
آل پاکستان سی این جی ایسوسی ایشن نے خیبرپختونخوا میں سی این جی اسٹیشنز کی بحالی کے بعد کراچی سمیت سندھ بھر میں بھی فوری طور پر سی این جی اسٹیشنز کھولنے کا مطالبہ کیا ہے۔ اس سلسلے میں ایسوسی ایشن کی جانب سے وفاقی وزیر پیٹرولیم علی پرویز ملک کو باضابطہ خط بھی ارسال کیا گیا ہے۔
سندھ زون کے کوآرڈینیٹر سمیر نجم الحسن کے مطابق کراچی میں گزشتہ تین ماہ سے سی این جی اسٹیشنز کی بندش کے باعث شہریوں، ٹرانسپورٹرز اور مزدور طبقے کو شدید مشکلات کا سامنا ہے، جبکہ پٹرول کی بلند قیمتوں نے عوامی مسائل کو مزید بڑھا دیا ہے۔
انہوں نے مؤقف اختیار کیا کہ سندھ میں سی این جی اسٹیشنز کی روزانہ گیس کھپت صرف تین ایم ایم سی ایف ڈی ہے، جسے ایس ایس جی سی باآسانی منظم کر سکتی ہے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ اسٹریٹ آف ہرمز اور قطر سے آر ایل این جی کی سپلائی بھی بحال ہو چکی ہے، اس لیے عیدالاضحیٰ سے قبل سی این جی اسٹیشنز دوبارہ فعال کیے جائیں۔
ایسوسی ایشن کا کہنا ہے کہ کراچی میں سی این جی اسٹیشنز کی تعداد 300 سے کم ہو کر صرف 30 رہ گئی ہے، جبکہ ایس ایس جی سی کی پالیسی کے باعث ہزاروں مزدوروں کا روزگار خطرے میں پڑ گیا ہے۔
آل پاکستان سی این جی ایسوسی ایشن نے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ عید سے پہلے کراچی اور سندھ میں سی این جی اسٹیشنز بحال کیے جائیں تاکہ شہریوں کو سفری اخراجات میں ریلیف مل سکے۔
English Translation
The All Pakistan CNG Association has demanded the immediate restoration of CNG stations in Karachi and across Sindh after the reopening of stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this regard, the association has also sent a formal letter to Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik.
According to Sindh Zone Coordinator Sameer Najm-ul-Hassan, the closure of CNG stations in Karachi for the past three months has created serious difficulties for citizens, transporters, and daily-wage workers, while high petrol prices have further increased public hardship.
He stated that the daily gas consumption of CNG stations in Sindh is only three MMCFD, which SSGC can easily manage. He added that RLNG supply from the Strait of Hormuz and Qatar has also been restored; therefore, CNG stations should be reopened before Eid-ul-Adha.
The association said that the number of CNG stations in Karachi has dropped from 300 to only 30, while SSGC’s policy has put thousands of workers at risk of unemployment.
The All Pakistan CNG Association has appealed for the restoration of CNG stations in Karachi and Sindh before Eid so that citizens can receive relief in travel expenses.
