PHF President Tributes Armed Forces on Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsus Anniversary
Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohiuddin Wani honors the armed forces on the first anniversary of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsus, linking military resilience to the revival of national hockey.
پاکستان ہاکی فیڈریشن (پی ایچ ایف) کے صدر محی الدین احمد وانی نے ’معرکہ حق: آپریشن بنیان المرصوص‘ کا ایک سال مکمل ہونے پر پاک فوج اور پوری قوم کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا ہے۔
اپنے ایک بیان میں انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ آپریشن ملکی دفاعی تاریخ کا ایک درخشاں باب ہے، جس میں ہمارے بہادر غازیوں اور شہداء نے دشمن کے ناپاک عزائم کو خاک میں ملا دیا۔ اس تاریخی دن کی مناسبت سے ملک بھر میں نمائشی ہاکی میچز کا انعقاد کیا گیا تاکہ مسلح افواج کی قربانیوں کو خراجِ عقیدت پیش کیا جا سکے۔
محی الدین وانی نے کہا کہ یہ فتح محض عسکری نہیں، بلکہ ملکی قیادت اور افواجِ پاکستان کے آہنی عزم کا نتیجہ ہے۔ انہوں نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ جس طرح ہماری بری، بحری اور فضائی افواج نے ایک سیسہ پلائی ہوئی دیوار بن کر ملک کا دفاع کیا، اسی طرح پی ایچ ایف پاکستان ہاکی کو بھی عالمی سطح پر دوبارہ ایک ناقابلِ تسخیر قوت بنانے کے لیے پرعزم ہے۔
دوسری جانب، ہاکی کے فروغ کے حوالے سے بات کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے بتایا کہ ایڈہاک کمیٹی بغیر کسی مراعات کے قومی کھیل کی بحالی کے لیے کوشاں ہے۔ ان کی اولین ترجیح قومی ٹیم کو پرو لیگ اور ورلڈ کپ کے لیے تیار کرنا ہے۔
گراس روٹ لیول پر اقدامات کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے بتایا کہ انڈر 18 ٹیم جلد ایشیا کپ میں حصہ لے گی، جبکہ انڈر 14 اور انڈر 16 کے کھلاڑیوں کو ضروری سہولیات فراہم کی جا رہی ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید بتایا کہ کلبوں کی جانچ پڑتال کا عمل جاری ہے اور خواتین ہاکی کے لیے بھی ایونٹس شیڈول کیے گئے ہیں۔

President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the armed forces and the nation on the first anniversary of 'Maarka-e-Haq: Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsus.'
In a special message, he described the operation as a golden chapter in the country's defense history, paying glowing tributes to the Ghazis and martyrs who thwarted the enemy's designs. To commemorate this milestone, exhibition hockey matches were organized across Pakistan to honor the armed forces.
Wani emphasized that this victory was not merely a military triumph but a testament to the iron resolve of the national leadership and the armed forces. He noted that just as the Army, Navy, and Air Force stood like an impenetrable wall to defend the nation, the PHF is determined to make Pakistan hockey an invincible force globally.
Discussing the future of the sport, the PHF Ad-hoc Committee President highlighted that the committee is working selflessly to revive the national game. The immediate priority is to prepare the national team for the upcoming Pro League and initiate preparations for the World Cup.
Focusing on grassroots development, Wani announced that the Under-18 team will soon participate in the Asia Cup, while kits are being distributed to Under-14 and Under-16 players. He further stated that club scrutiny is underway, and multiple championships will be organized for women athletes to promote the sport at all levels.
