Punjab CM Approves Free Google Certifications and Electric Buses for Students

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting where significant educational reforms and facilities for students were approved to modernize the province's academic landscape.

During the session, it was revealed that in collaboration with Google, over 100,000 students in Punjab will be provided with free Google Certification courses. This initiative will waive fees ranging from $400 to $1,000 per student, enabling them to acquire cutting-edge digital skills at no cost.

In a move to provide safe and modern transportation, the Chief Minister approved the launch of an electric bus service specifically for college students, ensuring easier commuting to educational institutions.

The meeting also reached a decision to affiliate all commerce colleges in Punjab with established universities to enhance the standard of education and the credibility of their degrees. Furthermore, the CM approved the establishment of advanced IT labs in 166 government colleges across the province to provide students with better opportunities for technological and digital learning.
