Ghulam Hussain Sohoo, Chairman of the Karachi Matric Board, has resigned after an inquiry committee recommended his suspension over alleged irregularities in recent examinations.
کراچی ثانوی تعلیمی بورڈ کے چیئرمین غلام حسین سوہو نے اپنے عہدے سے سبکدوشی کا اعلان کرتے ہوئے استعفیٰ دے دیا ہے۔
ذرائع کا کہنا ہے کہ میٹرک کے امتحانات کے دوران سامنے آنے والی مبینہ بدانتظامی اور بے ضابطگیوں کے باعث انہوں نے یہ قدم اٹھایا اور اپنا استعفیٰ سیکریٹری محکمہ بورڈز سندھ کو جمع کرا دیا ہے۔
قابلِ ذکر ہے کہ صوبائی وزیر کی ہدایت پر بننے والی انکوائری کمیٹی نے اپنی رپورٹ میں چیئرمین میٹرک بورڈ کو عہدے سے ہٹانے اور معاملے کی تحقیقات اینٹی کرپشن سے کرانے کی سفارش کی تھی۔ فی الحال امتحانی عمل میں ہونے والی کوتاہیوں کی تفتیش جاری ہے اور اس سلسلے میں مزید اہم اقدامات متوقع ہیں۔
English Translation
Ghulam Hussain Sohoo, the Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK), has officially resigned from his position.
According to sources, the resignation is linked to alleged irregularities and mismanagement during the matriculation examinations in Karachi. He has formally submitted his resignation to the Secretary of the Sindh Boards Department.
It is pertinent to mention that an inquiry committee, established on the directives of the provincial minister, had previously recommended the Chairman's suspension and suggested referring the case to the Anti-Corruption Establishment. Investigations into the examination discrepancies are still underway, and further disciplinary actions are expected.
